Chapter History

The Epsilon Beta Chapter at the University of New Orleans was founded in 1962. Each year our focus on sisterhood, philanthropy, and academics takes top priority within our sorority.  Whether we are celebrating big little reveal, going to the baseball games, or having a movie night at our sisters apartment we enjoy the memorable moments together as a sisterhood. Sigma Kappa's philanthropy events such as King of Hearts Male Pageant, Kick in the Grass Kickball Torment, and various others raise thousands of dollars. We take pride being the only sorority at the University of New Orleans with three philanthropies that we work closely with.  Academics are extremely important to Sigma Kappas. Our sisters are in the top honor societies the university offers such as Golden Key, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Alpha Lambda Delta. The University of New Orleans has accumulated many successful women from Sigma Kappa who are leaders in and outside the university. We appreciate your curiosity about our chapter history. To join our incredible sisterhood, please visit the recruitment page. We hope to see you in the Fall!
